MICROSCOPES

BIOLOGICAL:
A biological microscope could have a monocular or a binocular head, supplied with high magnifications and allows one to observe specimens or sections of organs and tissues, placed on a glass mounting slide in a way that light passes through them. For this reason, this type of microscope is supplied with an incidental light illuminator, i.e. from below, or with sun condenser mirror.

STEREOSCOPICAL:
A stereoscopical microscope is a binocular or trinocular unit and supplies a tridimensional view. It is used to observe opaque objects which light does not pass through, like crystals, fossils and coins.

4 POINTS TO KNOW

1 - MAGNIFICATION:
The magnification at which you are observing is the result between the magnification of eyepiece and the objective. Please remember that if you increase the magnification the field of view will consequently decrease.

2 - ILLUMINATION:
Illumination could be from incidental light, (from below) very useful in biological microscopes, or transmitted light (from above), for stereoscopical microscopes. Some models, (for example code 5420 Diamond) have double illumination, offering dual usage.

3 - FOCUSING:
Precision focusing is very important in observations, for this reason most Konus microscopes have double focusing: macrometrical and micrometrical (or fine focusing).

4 - ACCESSORIES:
It is important to remember that the microscope can be connected to a camera or a CCD camera. Indispensable in the professional field, Konus microscopes have been supplied for years to universities, research laboratories, medical and odontology students, and for the analysis and the observations of specimens. Also for hobbies such as botanic, micrology and stamp collection.
A stereoscopical microscope is the best solution for enlarging and observing everything impossible to see with only the naked eye.
